| 509857 | 2007-01-11 07:17:00 | I third the Gmail suggestion. Even if you don't want to use the Gmail address for your emails you can take advantage of Gmail's spam filtering for your usual email account by forwarding those emails through your Gmail account prior to downloading them. It works a treat. | FoxyMX (5) | ||
| 509858 | 2007-01-11 07:38:00 | I have gmail addys, and a isp addy, and cannot remember when i actually had spam in the last year? but ive changed isp's 3 times and have a long email addy now...........so maybe that helps. i dont use mailwasher, or poptray. gone back to OE after using Eudora for a while. and never preveiw anything, even tho i never get spam:illogical so no probs there i guess. beetle |

| 509859 | 2007-01-11 09:50:00 | It's this scam I am bothered with. I keep getting completely ludicrous emails that are in colour - with pathetic printing all over the place - starts by offering financial advice about shares or something then just becomes a complete mess - no sense at all. They use various names as the sender. Now I do know I am not the only one suffering but can anybody tell me if there is any action being taken to stop this lot? At the moment I just delete the things (shift/del) - Windows seems incapable of recognising it as scam. Tom These are graphics and are very hard for filters to work on and that is why they get through |
