People how use Apple products use them because they look awesome and are simple to use, anything else is just hard work . Mac/Apple evangelism is a pointless waste of time WMG, in fact it becomes mildly irritating after a while, like more than two Mac-lover's posts . This is a PC site, 99% of members don't buy Macs, we don't want Macs, we like to play with our computers and customise them to suit our particular needs . It's a hobby as well as a tool, price is not the issue, you could buy two Macs for the money some of us spend on our PCs (make that 3 if your name is Jack) . Ipods might be an exception for some, but I bought iRiver because I got much more for my money and I'm not into fashion accessories . Get over it, or go preach to the converted on a Mac site . Ive headed back over to my regular haunt in preparation for MWSF(Mac World San Francisco '06) when all the new toys get announced . I am aware that 99% of the people on this site prefer to customise and tinker with their hardware - and repair it after its been hit by viruses . Bit like boy racers in their pimped out street machines . You say you can spend enough on 1 PC to equate to 3 Macs (that's about $11k for the mid range) personally, I am just happy with a solid, stable machine and a reliable triple platform OS (Mac, Windows and Linux simultaneously) that doesn't crash, save for the occasional force quit for some offending program or get virsus or spyware that just lets me get my work done each day and have a bit of fun in the process . Aw shucks, I guess you're right Greg, It takes all kinds and I 'spose we orta show tolerance, just so long as they practice their perversions in private, don't scare wimmin & horses, or children, and associate with consenting adults only . It's the preachifyin' that gets me though, there's enuff sectarian and ethnic violence in the world today without startin' another round of Mac killin' & stompin . Maybe we orta do the Borg thing and just assimilate them; but . . . . . hang on a mo, gettin' 'em workin' with Windows sounds awful like the Borg's got em already!! Didn't I hear that they've gone over to the evil Intel empire as well? Windows + Intel? Resistance is futile, all they have left is the image and some proprietary software .
