| 510182 | 2006-12-27 19:00:00 | I've got an old GeForce FX 5200 card, and I'm contemplating a Viewsonic VX922 (pcworld.co.nz) LCD monitor. Will my card run it? Probably a silly question but I've never had a LCD screen before. Thanks. |

| 510185 | 2006-12-28 04:06:00 | Pricespy is your friend (http://www.pricespy.co.nz) If you're willing to spend $699 on that monitor, why not go for a cheaper screen and use $250 for a decent graphics card.... you should be able to score a decent 6600 or even 7600 card if you shop around. 7600GT going for 220+gst. No point in having all that screen real estate for an FX5200...I don't think you could pick a worse card!!! :yuck: :yuck: :yuck: Just my :2cents: |

| 510188 | 2006-12-28 07:01:00 | Actually I had one of those cards in my old box... no probs at all with it. I sometimes think people get way too outa control with video cards and it's just not an issue unless you're trying to play WOW or some other shoot 'em up game. Get a decent monitor 1st Greg, your eyes will thank you for it :D My other pick would be this: Samsung 931C 19-Inch (2ms and apparently the monitor for 06 world gaming games or something) on sale around $625.00-$650.00 |
