509442 2006-12-25 07:21:00 Hi

I have woosh wireless. My Problem is whenever the modem is disconnected whislt on or the modems signal suddenly dies the computer is rebooted. I have tried 2 different modems and the modems were both using usb connectors. Is their anyway to fix this without using and ethernet connector.

Another problem is it freezes the pc after about one and a half hours for what reason I dont know. This problem is very random.

My psu is 450w and motherboard is a MSI 865pe neo2 p series.

Thanks

509443 2006-12-25 07:25:00 I assume you've tried reinstalling the dialer software, updating the firmware on the modems (using the Woosh supplied CD) etc.?

If so, I'd set aside 45 minutes one day to ring Woosh, wait on hold, then speak to one of their technicians (I found listening to "Network Status", then pressing 1, got me put through to a human quicker than going via the other channels). There are a few people who work there who seem to know what they're doing, so they might be able to solve your problem.

509444 2006-12-25 09:51:00 Yeah I've done all of those. Another thing is that its just my pc that does this.

I may just have to do that or just get a ethernet cable :(.

509448 2006-12-25 23:51:00 I think your only option at the moment is to try and find someone who has a Woosh ethernet cable (with the propriety plug on the modem end), which you can borrow to test and see if that solves the problem. somebody (208)
509449 2007-01-05 05:42:00 Ok. I got a Ethernet cable and not only have my problems disappeared the connections seems to perform much better and is far more stabler(eg. no stalls..).

If anyone else chooses to switch over to a ethernet cable remember that you need to restart your modem.
