512224 2007-01-03 01:08:00 Hi,

I've just bought a new PC along with a brand new Windows x64 Package. I put the disc in and started to install as told on screen, I partitioned my hard drive and then left it to run. It succesfully did the first few steps but then when it actually got to configuring and installing windows (when you get the proper XP graphics) It works for about 30 seconds but then quits and brings the dark blue screen up that says *Dumping physical system memory* or words to that effect. So I'd like to know how to stop it from going to this screen and just install properly? Thanks.

512225 2007-01-03 01:12:00 It could be anything, so the system was already assembled when u brought it?

Or did u decide what went in it, and a shop put it together?

Is the system 64 bit too?

512226 2007-01-03 01:19:00 Yes it's a custom build and I've put it together, everything is connected up properly as far as I know, I've put quite alot of Pc's together sucessfully but this problem has stumped me. The system also supports x64, even on the product description there is the sentance *Support for 64-bit extended operating systems* Tracer-Bullet (10096)
512227 2007-01-03 01:23:00 I would take everything out but the video card, ram, and a hdd.

Then see if it'll install. If it still crashes, then remove the simms (if there's 2 of them). Leave one in, take one out then swap them.

And whats the motherboard??

512228 2007-01-03 01:30:00 The motherboard is a Sapphire AM2RD580. Tracer-Bullet (10096)
512229 2007-01-03 03:56:00 Does it give u a BSOD, and a STOP error? If it does, what does it say after STOP: ? Speedy Gonzales (78)
512230 2007-01-03 07:18:00 Can you get your hands on a 32-bit windows for a day and install using somebody elses key? Just to try it and see if its the fact its a 64-bit OS?

Long shot I know.. had to be asked....

How far does the timer on the left-hand side get during installation?

512231 2007-01-03 21:02:00 Timer says 10 mins remaining.

Progress bar says "Registering Components"
