| 512083 | 2007-01-02 04:28:00 | Where my friend lives (7kms off state highway..Hokitika) they cannot get broadband .....actually they really cant get dial up at an acceptable level...15 minutes to get a page... they are not big internet users... emails(spam has them pulling thier hair out... after waiting 30 minutes for their emails).. trade me... weather...etc have looked at wireless but the options seem way too expensive for such casual usage...woosh doesnt seem to be available in that area... but cell phones will work there so something should be possible... has anyone else experienced this problem.. telecom dont seem to give a rats a... about areas that are not heavily populated... would love some ideas on how to improve this situation |
