| 511685 | 2007-01-01 11:06:00 | Hi, all. I'm interested in building a mini-ITX or nano-ITX for my car. I would like to have it very low powered and low noise (hence quiet fan or fanless). The problems are I don't know where to shop at nor what exact components I should need. I don't need to build it fancy cos it will only be used for playing music mainly and watch some movies but unlikely playing games. So anyone has good recommendation for motherboard, CPU, PSU, soundcard etc? |

| 511688 | 2007-01-01 18:21:00 | I've seen a few pics on the net of people putting an Apple Mac Mini into their car. Why not look at that? Might be a bit more expensive but is small, powerful and quiet. |

You may also struggle to build a decent working machine for under $1000. You could just insert this little puppy and save yourself the hassel. I wrote out a paragraph of stuff then relised it meant very little :( So anyway get in contact with e3Solutions (itx.co.nz) and see if you can get a barebone system done for you. They have some systems around the $600 mark full set up. Have a look at http://www.itx.co.nz for everything you need. |

So by the looks of it s/he has imported them from china which must be quite cheaper then here/other places :) www.itx.co.nz Looks like a CDRom and thats it. Amazing :D EDIT: Ah here we go: Sumicom (Super Mini Computer) The main site seems dead so I think we are lucky that they are in NZ. They don't appear to be in the US. |
