512172 2007-01-08 16:28:00 by portforwarding can we 100k plus speed on go large plan

By using UPNP and no port forwarding at all I get over 300KB/s. The UPNP takes care of all port forwarding automatically.

Not sure what you are on about.
What country are you in? What modem do you have (make and model)? Are you with dialup, ADSL, cable modem, wireless or what?

Provided your modem is setup for internet - that is half done.
Then all you do is go to your router web interface (check your manual), open up your internet browser and type a number (in your manual) mine is like 192.68.1.1 ...... then you type a login name and password (you should know it, if you not changed it - refer to the router manual - it will tell you the default login name and password).

Not to repeat my previous post.
You can go to "HERE". It gives you pictures and instructions how to execute static IP address and port forwarding. All you do is click your router brand and model and then click utorrent for custom made (tailor made) instructions.

All you do is go to utorrent - Options - Preference (in the menu) and then click the connections (tab on the left side index tree) and the 2nd from the top tick down box make sure that is ticked for UPNP. Or this is the 3rd line from the top after your port number text box.

Click OK to get out of that window. Exit and restart your utorrent.

YOU DO NOT, need to get into your router settings because you are not using port forwarding. You are using UPNP. If you cannot get a transfer speed it might be b/c the pple don't have their computers on. If the speed is very slow, it could just be the traffic and how many pple have it and how many pple are getting it. Your only bet is just to try diff torrents files and hope to get a good speed, many of mine has been 10kb/sec or slower.

Do not expect you must get your 2 or 4 or 8 or a FULL SPEED 10Mbit download speed.

Trying to find a good speed link with diff torrent files - a lot of donkey work. For a 1hr tv show series, you can get a speed difference from 24hr to 1hr.
