1410673 2015-10-29 22:58:00 I have a Toshiba satellite laptop running Windows 10.It brings up heaps of script errors on various pages.Have done all the steps in internet options and also run spybot to clear adware to no avail.Help please. Max (8180)
1410674 2015-10-29 23:04:00 You mention "internet options" so assume you are using Internet Explorer.

Yesterday I upgraded a friend's laptop to win 10 and IE gave a script error when loading gmail. I wasn't prepared to fiddle around with a browser MS would love to see gone so I made Chrome the default.

MS would love us to use Edge but it isn't for me yet. With IE script errors, maybe MS is trying to tell us something?

1410676 2015-10-29 23:29:00 Just a suggestion, right click on the start button, then click Command prompt (Administrator) Type in sfc /sacnnow <press Enter>

One "trick" I've found with Windows 10 - 99% of the time even after a fresh install there are errors, out of habit I now run sfc after every install, and every time errors are found and repairs made, previous problems fixed :)

Personally I think MS should write into the software to run sfc automatically after a install, its fixes a mountain of faults.

Should that not be "sfc /scannow <press Enter>" ? ;)

1410680 2015-10-30 09:44:00 I have also started to run chkdsk /f after upgrades I do as I have found several times that an index needs fixing. Not sure what causes it but just seems prudent to do it.

Must do the sfc just to see but my own system has had no real problems since Oct last year. 10576 out today!
