1410633 2015-10-29 21:58:00 If you are having problems updating Flash in W8.1 like I was, try this

helpx.adobe.com

Use the links at the bottom of the page.

1410634 2015-10-30 23:03:00 Or you could download the latest full Flash Player file from www.adobe.com/nz/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html and use that. It's handy to do this if you have more than one computer to update. rumpty (2863)
1410635 2015-10-31 07:30:00 reason for instigating this post - I get this message on screen

This plugin is vulnerable and should be updated
Activate Adobe Flash

I check the plugins on Google, sure enough, A A F is vulnerable and needs updating, I procede. First i untick "McAfee security plan" -- initialise, save file, Flash Player installer saved - message, "Installation will begin shortly" - 5 minutes later no action

There are two programmes - A F P 18 Active X
A F P 19 NPAPI
Using W 7

I need some help here please

1410636 2015-10-31 08:33:00 Close your browser and it might be able to proceed.

Make sure it's fully closed, and not in a semi loaded state in the taskbar.

Also, go into Task Manager and axe any processes / plugins that seem to be related to Flash, then try your upgrade.
