| 1410435 | 2015-10-25 02:16:00 | In trying to get our phone working over the new fibre connection we seem to have the following problem. While outgoing calls are fine, we can get no incoming calls. When trying to ring our number from our mobile phone we get a voicemail message quoting the number and adding 'This number is not in service'. Do you think this problem lies at our end, with Orcon, or with Chorus? I have lodged a complaint with Orcon, but I guess being the weekend not much is happening. Any ideas? |

| 1410436 | 2015-10-25 04:03:00 | It will be a Chorus problem.I had the exact same problem with a customer yesterday and all it was, was all the programming had failed to go through with the porting the number off the copper on to the fibre platform and all it needed was for chorus to check and redo the programming. It took about 5 minutes and all was fixed.Just tell the chorus tech to get the programming checked if it hasn't been fixed by the time he gets there | Peter Coleman (597) | ||

Most places like That will have a skeleton crew on, mainly for outages etc. Customer problems like the one you are having are put off till normal working hours. Even these places that say they have service 24 /7 --- Try getting something done  |

| 1410439 | 2015-10-26 04:38:00 | I have something slightly different problem with the Fibre phone: I can make calls and receive calls 'basically' OK; but when I call someone who has an answering machine and when it is activated (e.g. no one is at home) and I just hang up my phone before the machine over there completes the request for leaving a message or something like that (I hate talking to a machine unless it is absolutely necessary), my phone automatically rings after about 2~3 seconds. I got to pick up and put down the phone 2~3 times just to stop the phone from ringing again. Rang Spark a couple times but apparently no one knows what's causing the problem, I have even elevated the issue to their higher level but still without an answer. |
