Parents have an 80GB SSD in their PC (Win7 Pro) with a couple of mechanical drives for data storage. A while ago the SSD filled up, 80GB just isn't enough any more, so I moved the winsxs folder to another drive and linked it in with a junction. Works like a charm. We're wanting to upgrade to Win10 now, and I'm just wondering if anyone has done this before and can report on if it actually works, or are we asking for a large problem trying to upgrade it with the winsxs folder in a non-default location.
Thanks! |
