1410217 2015-10-19 19:12:00 I use the Edge and having trouble getting on the NZ Herald site. It always comes up web page not avail or once I'm on, I can read the front page but trying to read articles just stops then comes up web page not avail. Anyone else have problems. I have the same thing with a few other sites. Cheers. bruciebear (1478)
1410218 2015-10-19 19:45:00 I just gave up on edge and installed FF personally. Edge has some promise but still too many issues for my liking. Mainly some websites that wouldn't work and no adblock add-on is what kills it for me. If windows has a strength it's the ability to replace almost any function with a 3rd party program if you don't like the default. dugimodo (138)
1410219 2015-10-19 21:42:00 Edge is a work in progress and unusable. Use Firefox, Chrome or Opera. I don't fancy the chances of Edge being sorted any time soon. MS spent at least 20 years working on Internet Explorer which has never been any good compared to the others. mzee (3324)
1410220 2015-10-20 00:58:00 Yep, I stuck to Chrome. Maybe Edge will catch up and I will switch but not yet. linw (53)
1410221 2015-10-20 02:52:00 Is there a problem with IE, it's already installed. Driftwood (5551)
1410222 2015-10-20 03:46:00 Sure you can use IE11. I went off it a while ago because I got sick of it seizing up occasionally but YMMV. Just use what you like best. linw (53)
1410223 2015-10-20 03:48:00 Just tried the NZ Herald Site, about a dozen pages from within the site all in W10 Edge -- no problems at all. In fact made FF look stupidly slow. It was a fresh install.

One possible cause for Edge playing up, and I'm seeing this a LOT is systems that have been upgraded from a previous version of windows often have troubles, W10 programs not working right etc. Once the data is saved, drive wiped and W10 installed from fresh - Good as gold :)

1410226 2015-10-21 03:44:00 I have found an ad blocker for Edge. It consists of a couple of registry entries, works fairly well with no side effects and better than nothing :)
