1409977 2015-11-19 05:43:00 I am all for Ms trying to get everyone on to W10.
If we were all on the same OS, it makes it much easier for support and helping each other.
Rather than having to remember where everything is and how things work in XP, 7, 8 etc.

think yourself lucky......
There has been a long long history of buggy Winupdates leaving some PC's unusable
In fact, there was one last week that badly affected some PC's . Bad enough that MS had to pull the update & fix it.
At least with Winxp,7,8 you at least had easy control over when Win downloaded & installed updates .

Perhaps MS are concerned that the win10 takeup has flattened out , all the geeks now have it but joe average didnt ug.
That may be why they are trying to sneak (yes sneak) Win10 onto pc's . Ive had many equires wanting to know how to get rid of that
Win10 notification, and others have found their PC doing the 10 upgrade despite them not wanting it . Sneaky sneaky MS

Its a disgrace that you have to use some possibly dodgy 3rd party app to permanently stop that Win10 upgrade notification .

1409980 2015-11-19 21:59:00 I have never had a Win 10 notification because I hardly ever do updates. I did have W10 on two laptops but put the Dell back to W7 because of driver problems. The Lenovo is still with W10, clean installed, and since disabling Auto Updates I have had no problems at all. As for performance the W10 was quicker than W7Pro, but after using System Mechanic they are now the same. mzee (3324)

same here with my Home PC (Win7)
MS wanting to add in 'telemetry' on Win7 via winupdates was the last straw . :)
