First principles for any faulting electronic/electrical product:- Check the supply voltage! After 50+ years in electronics, I think I've grasped the basic principles: If it doesn't work, check the supply voltage. If that's ok, check the load current. Battery is fine and computer runs OK, just a very dim display that is normal on mains power. I suspect a dried-up electro on the output of the inverter, but in theory that should that affect the image on mains as well, and I'm reluctant to take to the display panel with implements of destruction because I don't really need to use it on battery. I may pluck up the courage some time next week, but I now have a dishwasher problem that Mrs T says trumps my laptop, so it may be bit longer before I get back to it. Cheers Billy 8-{) :annoyed: |
