| 1401525 | 2015-06-03 10:47:00 | If the car was fresh from Japan, it may be sitting around , or minimally used, because I think Japanese people are discouraged to keep their cars for a few years. No, it was a very basic 2002 model and had been the Japanese equivalent of a Pizza delivery car. It had a good number of Km on the clock (a lot more than the average privately-owned import) plus evidence on the bodywork of moderately rough treatment, especially on the roof above the rear hatch where they had been loading their trays I guess. We bought it because it fitted our budget at the time, never intending to keep it this long, but it has wormed its way into our affections, with both of our children learning to drive in it. Despite the rigors of its previous life, it is an absolute delight to drive. It is only a 1.3 litre, but being very light, the performance is excellent and Mrs T is inclined to stretch it to the limit sometimes, being very keen on traffic light drags. Cheers Billy 8-{) |
