| 512681 | 2007-01-04 19:38:00 | Try this: right-click on My Computer, select Manage, and in the left pane click Disk Management. Then format it from there. It may even need partitioning. | pcuser42 (130) | ||

| 512686 | 2007-01-05 11:59:00 | Does the manual offer any settup info? What's the drive actually called (make and model)? Is it USB or firewire or what? If its just like any other external drive and windoze wont do it for ya....try linux. D/load the puppy iso, burn it, boot it and run Gparted to do the formating. |

| 512688 | 2007-01-05 13:15:00 | Ahhh...so basically it's an external hdd that plugs in via usb. In order to use it you need to put a filesystem on it such as ntfs. You need software to do that. Puppylinux is a version of the linux operating system which you can d/load here (www.puppylinux.org). Sorry but it's late and I'm very tired so I won't elaberate any more tonight....I'll check back tomorrow though. |

| 512689 | 2007-01-05 17:43:00 | That drive is a external multimedia hard drive player (eg MP3, DVD) - not your standard external hard drive disk. I would of thought it would include software to manage it? Did it not come with an installation CD? | Jen (38) | ||
