512476 2007-01-03 20:47:00 Some of my friends are saying that Real Player is not a good program to use as it has lots of spyware, malware, etc. is it true?

There are a lot of movies that require Real player to playback, any good free program to recommend?

Remember there is a post in this Forum that has a link to a list of some most common programs but can't find it now. Can someone give me a clue?

Cheers

512477 2007-01-03 20:54:00 Real Player Alternative (www.free-codecs.com)

The original Real Player is invasive, it associates files without permission, it installs bloated crap even if you do not want it and is hard to remove.

512478 2007-01-04 01:23:00 Have nothing to do with it.
Do not download the "FREE" trial.
The program contains spyware. And they thieve from your credit card. You have to give details before you can download trial.

I know I was caught.

Had to get my CC company to retrieve my money.

512479 2007-01-04 06:15:00 I've got it installed and have never had any problems with it (that is the Mac version, don't know about the Windows version). maccrazy (6741)
512480 2007-01-04 07:06:00 Third vote for not getting it..maybe someone will run a poll and see what the general consensus is about it....hint, hint.

OK..I'll do it...wish me well....
