| 512431 | 2007-01-03 17:55:00 | If one were to have different sized sticks of RAM..is there a rule as to where each stick shoud be placed in the expansion slots? Would it make any difference if the smaller one was in the middle or on either end? Where would the largest one likely be better placed? |

| 512432 | 2007-01-03 20:08:00 | size dosn't matter so much. some system run better if the slowest ram stick is placed in the first slot. some pc's set the ram timings by the specs of the first stick, not the slowest of all the ram sticks. | tweak'e (69) | ||

But to answer your question, I have been running mismatch RAM sizing on my server for the past 3 months without troubles. Don't tell any one but one is PC-133 and the other is PC-100. OOOpppsss. manged to chang the settings in the BIOS to accept this anyways. | CaptinMoor (8392) | ||
