513558 2007-01-07 07:21:00 Hi

I have a TV and a DVI Output Monitor

In control panel display properties I can extend the desktop to the next monitor screen and you can set it so that you can have the tv showing the desktop screen or the monitor showing the desktop screen

What I want is for the Tv and the Monitor to both show the same image

I tried Hydravision but it seems that it can't detect the tv as a monitor

Any ideas?

513559 2007-01-07 07:31:00 If its an ATI card dl the latest ATI drivers.

Then install them once installed, reboot right mouse on the ATI icon on the taskbar, and go into the Catalyst centre whatever it is.

Then go into advanced mode select display manager and the box right of the box where it says main.

Right mouse and select clone I think it is then apply then see if it brings the same image on the TV.

513560 2007-01-07 10:19:00 I installed this ATI Tray Icon because catalyst won't load for some strange reason

Anyway the cloning work for this ATI TRAY ICON program but only images are identical but if I play a video thru windows media player the monitor will show the video but the tv will show windows media player with a black screen

Any idea why?

513561 2007-01-07 16:56:00 Not sure if NVidia is the same as yours..

.....but I have to have the box unchecked for:

PREVENT WINDOWS FROM OPENING OFF-SCREEN.

I also set the SHOW NVIDIA OPT FOR WINDOWS on the top of my window...

From there I can toggle between tv-out with a CTRL + F12

and toggle to clone with CTRL + F11

513563 2007-01-07 19:43:00 Simple - right-click, select Properties, and select the Settings tab (I think - I only have support for one monitor), select the second monitor (TV), and uncheck "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor". pcuser42 (130)
