| 513524 | 2007-01-07 22:53:00 | I'm sure that many ppl here would love to help you fix this problem, but in order to do that they'd need as much clear and precise info as you can possibly provide. Before clicking the "submit reply" button ask yourself some questions: Have I made this clear & precise? Have I given all the info I can at this point? Will somebody else be able to understand wot I'm on about? Have I addressed ALL of the questions/requests that have been asked of me? Can I think of anything else that may be useful? This is not intended to offend you in any way at all, I'm simply trying to help you, help us, help you. |

| 513525 | 2007-01-07 22:56:00 | Is the Seagate a external Hard Drive?, if so, you will have to do as suggested by Speedy, just installed one and you will find from disk management that it is already formatted to Fat32, for XP you have to reformat to nfts, then partition. External HDD is a mass storage device and providing it powered and connected will show in Device manager and should show in XP | My Computer | Drive ? At first installation XP allocates a drive letter which should show in disk management. To safely disconnect a mass storage device you must follow the routine give in the manual. |

| 513527 | 2007-01-08 02:08:00 | My question was "was it an external drive?", have just tried to find out if you can partition an Seagate external drive,it appears not, so presumably your hard drive is an internal one. Please ignore my comments. | FrankS (257) | ||
