| 513145 | 2007-01-06 05:41:00 | I've just brought an old Compaq Presario 12XL 405a laptop. It has 64mb installed and is running windows ME. I'm thinking of upgrading the ram. Everest says it only has one stick of ram in the one slot available. When i removed the cover to have a look i see that it has another slot above the installed ram as you can see in this pic.... imagef1.net.nz(Small).jpg My question is, is that an available slot that i can use to install an extra stick of ram? If it is, how do i install it?. I've tried moving those steel tangs sideways & up but the ram doesn't appear to want to lift up on an angle. Thanks, Brian. |
