513119 2007-01-06 02:46:00 Before I return this machine for repair and which is under warranty, can anyone suggest how I can free a DVD disc that appears stuck in the slot loading DVD. Unlike models that have a a tray and a pin hole for releasing the disc mechanism, the slot loading DVD doesn't. I have tried eject from using the mouse as well as the eject button on the slot loader. Both refuse to eject the DVD although I can hear the attempts the machine is making.
Any suggestiona please?

513120 2007-01-06 03:33:00 Any ideas what may have caused the DVD disc to get stuck in the drive in the first place?

Since it is still under warranty, I suppose you are allowed to use brute force to extract out the DVD and chuck back the laptop at the manufacturer, asking them to repair the drive as well? :D

Cheers :)

513121 2007-01-06 03:42:00 Have you tried a paper clip in the hole next to the eject button? stu161204 (123)
513122 2007-01-06 03:50:00 Hi Stu
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately on the slot loading DVD drive there isn't a pinhole to access.
