Why is it you wanted to be able to access and remotely control the desktops of the windows machines on your private network? Could there be gains in having resources moved to the server, such a shared files which could be accessed either locally or via the net rather than going to the specific machines that may have or my not be switched on at any given time? I'm a fan of storing anything we want accessible on a server rather than a client machine for that reason. Of course you may have had completely different reasons for aiming to control your desktops remotely |

Of course you may have had completely different reasons for aiming to control your desktops remotely Well incase my Mum needs to get something off her PC or or me (although these are rare)... but I guess there is no real need for RDC access... Yes, I was going to do that and have authorised access only to that folder. I think I am not going to worry about the RDC part... webadmin for linux is pretty good free also Thanks, I will have a look :) |
