I wanna be at the fore-front this time around, and Im sure a HDDVD drive for my PC will probably cost a decent wad of cash, I wanna start my collection now :D No HDTV yet, but its the beginning of a new year, who knows what it will hold ;) Ive got like 6 DVD Writers in the house, only 1x DVD Reader (PLUS the Xbox drive counts as a 2nd I s'pose), I want a new toy to play with! |

| 513069 | 2007-01-06 06:25:00 | I thought MS were putting HD DVD in to the 360 as an add on, which they are in direct competition with sony and the PS3 Well what ever format they are supporting, Apple is backing the opposite format, how ever I do remember reading a while back that the Xbox was going to be supporting both formats which would make sense due to the success of the iPod and iTunes store since the movies from the store use the H.264 codec and lots of people with iPods have Xbox 360s. The H.264 codec which I think is for HD DVD was developed by Apple and ratified by the engineering consortium backing the formats. Except your wrong, The XBOX 360 has a DVD drive, not a HD DVD drive. Unless you meant something entirely different. And looking into my crystel ball, both formats will fail to reach mainstream sales. |
