2007-01-05 21:37:00 | Hi, I have two PC's hooked up to each other through a router...PC 1 has a cd drive, but PC 2 doesn't. Is there anyway to "share" PC 1's cd drive with PC 2 such that I could access the cd drive from PC 2? If so, how do I do this? Thanks!

2007-01-05 23:04:00 | Its the first time I have ever heard of sharing a CD drive. I usually just swap between machines if there is only one available. | winmacguy (3367) | |

2007-01-05 23:28:00 | From my reading of the first post, all that is wanted to be shared is a cd drive? | Dannz (1668) | |
2007-01-05 23:33:00 | From my reading of the first post, all that is wanted to be shared is a cd drive? True but to some people a cd may mean a burner too. Or even DVD / burner. Even if they don't know what it is. Or what it can do.

2007-01-05 23:33:00 | thanks guys...well it's a cd/dvd burner, but I just want to see if it will work, I will try to do what speedy said later and i'll post the result! Thanks again! | g1sk8terz (11725) | |
2007-01-05 23:34:00 | It depends if you want to burn cds/dvds from the other computer, or just use files off it. | Dannz (1668) | |
