514057 2007-01-09 00:38:00 I stupidly let my updates install IE7 and I wish i hadn't, anyway......

Does anyone know why, when I click on favorities from the standard bar it dosen't appear. I know i can use the icon at the left of the screen, next to history. but it seems to freeze.

And does anyone know of any problems with ie7 and hotmail. When I go to delete my messages nothing happens. when i go to click on a link, nothing happens. all i get is "error on page" no pop up box apperars. I have ticked all the boxes to let these bloody things appear, but nothing :badpc:

Or can I just uninstall ie 7 and be left with 6, as I hate it and it's soooooo bloody slow.
and before anyones says, yes i use firefox as well.

cheers for any help.

514058 2007-01-09 00:40:00 Problems and IE7 go well together in the same sentence. winmacguy (3367)
514059 2007-01-09 00:53:00 IE7 and Hotmail work here OK. Altho I don't really use both that much.

Run IE again and tools/internet options / advanced, and reset / click on restore advanced settings.

Click on tools on the right, and tick menu as well.

I would also get hijackthis (www.merijn.org)

From here (www.merijn.org)

Unzip this file, run it click on scan and save a log. And copy and paste the log here.

514060 2007-01-09 01:25:00 If you don't like IE then use Firefox, it loads faster and it's easy to use. msnforum (11610)
514061 2007-01-09 01:37:00 Errr I suggest if ppl dont know the answer, then don't bother posting.

Using something else won't fix the prob, the person may want to use it for a reason, and someone may not want to use FF or Opera, or whatever other browser.

514066 2007-01-09 17:20:00 I also let MS update me to OE7. Most of the time it's OK, but sometimes it causes problems. Like can not find server. Or trying to download non existant e-mail.
I gave my ISP a blast about "their" service.
Their polite response was to tell me to download Thunderbird.
I did this and now when OE plays up I switch to Thunderbox and everything works fine again.
