| 513740 | 2007-01-07 23:29:00 | I just bought a new computer with Windows XP Home edition installed. I installed Word 97 from CD and when I open a document I get a message that says "This file already open by 'asdex' do you want to make a copy?" I don't have it already opened. Anyone know what is causing this? Thanks |

(change the location if you have installed it in a different place). This should fix Word. If this works, repeat but replace Winword.exe with Excel.exe. Hope this helps, Pete |

Hope this helps, Pete That's the same (in terms of Word) to my post above. The /r is the same as /regserver |

Hope asdex managed to get this working - it is an annoying problem which took me about a year to find a fix for when it first happened. Pete |
