| 514198 | 2007-01-10 05:40:00 | I know this is kicking an old dog around . . . but the reason why so many people eschew Internet Explorer is primarily for the security in downloading things on line . Here's the scenario . . . . . when you use Firefox to download something . . . you get the download manager and if the "whatever" it is, is an executable, then it gives you no choice but to save it to the harddrive . From there, and wherever you actually let it go to, you can right click on it and scan it with your favorite anti-ware . Firefox won't allow you to turn something loose in your registry without giving you the option of checking it out first . Simple . . no? Really it's eloquent . |

Also unlike IE you can UNINSTALL it if you don't want it . But since it rocks I'll keep my FF2 . 0 :) |
