| 514023 | 2007-01-08 22:00:00 | I've always wanted to ask what a high agp/pci frequency does to ones computer.. i've heard of someone who stuffed up their x800 XT PE AGP, by having the agp frequency set too high when overclocking their barton..(luckily they RMA'd it, because it wasn't the actual 'card' they overclocked) i've always heard on sites, and forums that always leave the AGP/PCI frequency to 66/33mhz. never mentioned why, because all motherboards have an option to change it to something like 73/39mhz. what are the usual signs of having agp or pci frequency set too high? does it actually affect every component connected to the motherboard ? (such as IDE, onboard audio/ USB etc) thanx for taking time to read this post. |

| 514024 | 2007-01-08 22:09:00 | On some system this is locked, so even if u changed (or tried to change it), it would stay at 33 / 66 / whatever. And I spose if u could change it, it would most probably crash the system constantly. If it was too high. |
