2007-01-07 23:43:00 | I got a Sandisk 1gb U3 thumbdrive for christmas and today I am back at work. The U3 menu and everything was working from home and doesn't work here at work. Launchpad.exe is sitting there in the list of processes but the menu itself does not appear. Home and work are both the same OS WinXP proff SP2 I would like any ideas you can come up with, thanks

2007-01-08 00:03:00 | Maybe you have restricted access to the work one? Do u own the PC at work? And are u sure the inputs / USB haven't been disabled? I've got the same U3 here. Altho the eject button doesn't always work in XP. I reformatted it, made it a system / bootable and then reinstalled the U3 launchbar. Some people say remove the launchbar, it can get annoying.

2007-01-08 00:21:00 | You can format it in XP. Like any other disk / removable device. Then just reinstall the launchbar if u want it. You may have to plug it back in the USB port and let it reinstall online.

Home and work are both the same OS WinXP proff SP2 I would like any ideas you can come up with, thanksI have the 2GB version and have the same problem. On my laptop - fine. On the PC at work (locked down) - can see the virtual CD drive the U3 creates but not the 'Removable Drive'. On various other PCs I have plugged into (including my Desktop at home - same build of XP as the laptop), I often get no U3 Launchbar in the systray until I double-click the executable from Explorer. A pain in the proverbial... |

2007-01-08 02:36:00 | I have administrator access to this and any other PC I choose to. I have since found an online U3 troubleshooter and got nowhere so I know I am not unique in this problem.
