| 513676 | 2007-01-07 19:19:00 | IE Ver. 6.0 Windows 2000 Ver. 5 Hello - I have been trying for over a week now, with the help of various online tech forums, to log in to several secure websites, which I have been doing successfully for years. Namely, an online banking site, a shipping site, and eBay. Now, I get this: SSL Alert The browser and the web-site cannot communicate securely because there are no common encryption algorithms. Please try the following: - Check the SSL protocol settings on the browser for SSLv3/TLSv1 protocol support. - The secure web-site may be using high-strength encryption algorithms(128 bit). Check the SSL settings on your browser, if it supports high-strength encryption algorithms. - Upgrade your browser to latest version. I have 128 bit encryption but suddenly secure sites don't recognize it. My SSL protocol settings are just what they're supposed to be. I have run every malware, spyware, anti-virus program known to man. I have cleared temp. int. files and cookies, I have upgraded Java, etc. but nothing has worked. I don't have a firewall. Is there anyone who can address the SSL problem? Thank you. SBCA |

| 513677 | 2007-01-07 19:30:00 | Open Internet Explorer On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, and then click the Advanced tab. In the Settings box, under Security, click to select the Use SSL 2.0 and Use SSL 3.0 check boxes (if they are not already selected), and then click OK. Or try another browser like Firefox. |

| 513678 | 2007-01-07 21:34:00 | Or try another browser like Firefox. Hello PCtec- Well I caved and changed my browser to Firefox. Everything is now working again. Now that I'm using Firefox, I have a question about the new appearance (margins too wide, layout, alignment, etc.) of my commercial website. It's all messed up. Do you know of anyone who can assist me on this? All other websites I frequent are fine. I am the Webmaster and I created this site 7 years ago and I maintain it. I'm worried that what I am seeing, my customer's are also seeing. Any thoughts? Thanks much. SBCA |

| 513681 | 2007-01-08 00:31:00 | I had the same prob with IE7. Whoever maintained the site had to fix whatever for IE7. So, everything was in the right place. And it looks like the site I'm / I was going to has now been fixed. |
