Corasir 1GB DDR2 675 Dual Kit 4-4-4-12 512MBX2
...
This memory has been verified to operate at 675MHz at the low latencies of 4-4-4-12. This module is also available in a single module part.
...
Every part is tested in Corsair's factory at 675MHz,
but your actual results may vary depending on the overclocking margin of your CPU and motherboard.
Newer motherboards may be used for production test as they become available.

so it will still work in a mobo that supports DDR2 533/667/800 at 667MHz right? ie they're just saying it'll definetly work, even o/clocked slightly

ram (www.extremepc.co.nz)
mobo (c1com.co.nz)

cheers:)

514960 2007-01-11 20:10:00 Actually that ram will now nearly always O/C past 900 effective so it is very good value once you know this.

My corsair XMS DDR667 (2x1gig kit) tops out at 980 effective way beyond standard DDR800, making it cheap.

BTW you may have to loosen timings to 5-5-5-15 to go past 900 I must add, but a tiny price to pay considering.

lol i thought it was cheap for corsair:D

i like to know it won't $hit it's pants, and would like to experiment with o/clocking later when i have more cash (to replace the burned out parts lol)

Judging from more recent results in overclocking forums DDR800 speed is a near certainty and 900+ effective is very common. Never any guarantee's in overclocking but I would suggest a very high chance.

So sure 667 NP.

514965 2007-01-12 22:04:00 Yes. Over priced though. The Most fancy and over priced RAM I've ever seen is the Dominator version capable at overclocking at very high speed and not much retailers are selling them because they cost too much.
Hey anyone want to buy a Corsairs RAM at $999.00 for 2GB RAM at 1000MHz+? In reality for the gamers or people who have nothing else to do with their money.

agreed, see my sig

i'm trying to make a stable system with overclock capabilities so i can have a very cheap (or VERY expensive) upgrade later on.
