514880 2007-01-11 07:48:00 Dear all. A small annoyance has recently just developed in the system tray.

How do I get rid of those two blank bars (one of them is pointed out by the red arrow)?:dogeye:

Cheers :)

514882 2007-01-11 08:23:00 Alternatively, you can reset your taskbar using this script (#164) (www.kellys-korner-xp.com) provided from this site (www.kellys-korner-xp.com). yzhu (9783)
514883 2007-01-11 11:26:00 Well, usually these are toolbar areas, those separators are just the ones that have been enabled but have nothing in them, if you right clicked on the taskbar area, chose toolbar and removed the ones you don't need, that should get rid of them. If that doesn't then you'd need to use cleanup tools for it.

By the way, your Windows is not Geniune (which you probably know), of course there's ways to remove the annoyance, but this isn't the place to do it.

Cheers,

KK

How do you know this by that small screen shot?

I have never seen the WGAN logo before so I trust that you’re correct there.

JamesKan > in future you may want to watch what you post in your images ;) so people don’t pick up that your copy of windows is not Genuine.

514888 2007-01-12 00:44:00 The Windows XP IS genuine, though I don't understand why it stays there all the time (no annoying pop-up messages, no annoyances whatsoever). I bought the computer from Dell.

Oddly enough, before I managed to read Metla's post, I'd reset the language bar and restarted the computer, and miraculously enough, the two empty bars have disappeared.

Thanks for the response, anyway. :D

Cheers :)

Darn, the annoying thing has come back again. Nope, that doesn't work, Metla.
