514665	2007-01-10 07:30:00	Hi......I want to try and reformat for the first time, is there a guide for reformatting and reinstalling Win 2000 on this site. 514666	2007-01-10 07:41:00	With your specs, XP probably won't be much slower than 2000, and it does have a few features that are a bit better than 2000. If you don't like the default theme, you can easily set it to the classic theme (that is my preferred option)	Greven (91)
514667	2007-01-10 08:52:00	With all stuff backed up .. u just boot with the win2k CD .. u can let it format and then it installs.. or u can install at diff folder for a dual boot. I personally dont like the latter.	Nomad (952)

Gaming has never been 2k's strong point with older games, but for plain office productivity and internet browsing, 2k is more than adequate . :2cents: .	bob_doe_nz (92)
514672	2007-01-11 04:55:00	It's not used for gaming, some video editing and music is about the hardest it works. So it sounds like 2000 is ok and I'll save some $, I have an old xp disc but I think it's not legit so I couldn't update the thing anyway.	wooda2 (4837)
