| 514807 | 2007-01-12 22:06:00 | Honestly its not that easy for a newbie, because he is always afraid that he will distrub other componenets. i think there should be a little vacum cleaner jus for this. |

| 514810 | 2007-01-13 06:27:00 | so that would work would itYes, after a fashion, but it is a total waste of money. All you need is a soft paintbrush from the Warehouse or any other cheap source (or 10-15mm & 25-30mm sizes if you want to be fancy), hold the end of the vacuum cleaner nozzle about 75-100mm away from the board or whatever you are cleaning then brush the dust off and it will be sucked up. You won't knock any parts loose with a paintbrush! You may need to get a bit closer with the vacuum for sticky dust that doesn't fly too well, but using anything more than this is overkill. Static is not an issue, however if you leave the computer plugged in but switched off at the wall, that will keep it all at earth potential. In 40+ years working with electronics that's all I've ever used and never had a problem, computers and all. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 514811 | 2007-01-13 09:39:00 | i got the Mini Vacuum Cleaner (T1700) from dse doesn't work too well imo not enough sucking power might be good enough for fine dusts but all the crap that's stuck on fans and filters are too heavy for it to suck in even after you brush it off with a seperate brush |
