| 515718 | 2007-01-14 06:08:00 | Got a small problem, I've seen it before, but for the life of me can't remember the fix. Basically, just rebuilt a PC for my son - motherboard up - it was working (for about 10mins), however now, the monitor LED is flashing and there is nothing on the screen. The HDD fires up, but no system beeps. Like I said, seen this before, just can't remember what the heck it was. Any help would be appreciated. |

| 515719 | 2007-01-14 06:17:00 | Hi badchoices, welcome to PressF1! Im presuming if its got an AGP / PCI-e graphics card that its plugged into that and not the onboard (Ive done this many many times!) Have you tried re-seating the graphics card and / or the RAM? So no beeps at all you say, but you've definately hooked up the PC-Speaker and tested that it works? Cheers Chill. |

I will either purchase a new one or see what I have around the place and give it another go. The case & power supply are 5 years old, with the PDU being rather dust laden, so isn't much of a surprise. Once replaced, will give it another crack and see what the story is. Cheers for you help. |

| 515721 | 2007-01-14 07:42:00 | oh btw - the pc speaker was working - in fact the whole machine was working prior to the PDU issue. (and the fact the AGP card had "popped" - so will probably replace with a PCI). | badchoices (11774) | ||
