515524 2007-01-13 20:27:00 I guess all PC World subscribers are getting a licence to NOD32 for 1 year.
Does anyone have experience with NOD32?
It has good reviews, but AFAIK, my Avast (which is free) works fine and it updates itself without me doing anything.
Is there any advantage to changing to NOD32?

515525 2007-01-13 21:18:00 Put NOD32 into Search and you will find lots of happy campers - ones that have forked out for the program.

I am happy with my Avast but would switch to NOD32 for a year if I got a free copy of it. And if, during that year, it performed better than Avast I would probably cough up for subscription to it.

515526 2007-01-13 22:40:00 Nod 32. The best AV on the market.
It does it's job without interfering with anything else. It's not overlarge and it doesn't slow down your computer.
I'm into my third year with it.

515527 2007-01-13 23:34:00 Agreed. It is probably a 50/50 choice between NOD32 and AVG. winmacguy (3367)

Nod32 beats AVG hands down. It gets a bit harder to call when it goes up against Avast.

But the AVG interface is lot better then Avast (I have use Avast on one of our computers here & it was not as easy to config as AVG & it imo tend to be more confusing then AVG)

My :2cents:

PS; I have never use NOD32 so I can’t comment on it.

No, I've been a subscriber for donkey's years and I got it in the mail (unexpectedly) yesterday.

I agree with this sentiment.
But how would you know if it performed better?
And how do you know how well Avast is performing?
I haven't had a virus, so I guess Avast works OK, but how could it work BETTER than that?
