515172 2007-01-12 06:13:00 I have Win XP Pro SP 2, 3.5mbs broadband and a Dynalink rta1025w 54MBS wireless router.
I have tried downloading files from numerous trusted sites like Microsoft, Adobe, Grisoft etc...9 times out of ten they corrupt.

I suspect it has something to do with my wireless router, are there tweaks I can apply to cure the corruption? I've taken a screen shot of diagnostics.

Can anyone help or is there a good wifi forum I can try?

Do you get corrupted/incomplete web pages/anything else as well?

515174 2007-01-12 09:58:00 Have you tried a different wireless router? stu161204 (123)
515175 2007-01-12 21:04:00 Trying a new wireless router is a drastic option given the expense.
The funny thing is my downloads from using Azureus/bit torrent are fine. So I think it's a setting rather than a physical problem.

515176 2007-01-12 22:24:00 Do you use a download manager program like Getright etc. or just the IE download program.

515177 2007-01-12 22:28:00 so want other methods do you use to download other than torrents. Have you talked to your isp help desk about this.

Also try a connecting your pc to the router using utp (cat 6e cable) see if you still get corruptions, you maybe able to confirm or rule out your suspicions about your wifi connection doing that.

515178 2007-01-13 00:50:00 What is the form of the "corruption"? Are the files you get the same length as the source files, or do they contain wrong data? Do you get error messages about the transfers? Graham L (2)

Have you enabled the router's firewall? May be blocking some spyware **cough cough** security mechanism from checking stuff on your PC. Microsoft, anti-virus companies, the NSA et al all like to look inside your PC

515180 2007-01-14 06:36:00 The Router's firewall is disabled.
I did an MTU ping fragmentation test, it passed that at 1472 + 28.
However here's a screenshot of diagnostics I ran (cause for concern?).
No, wait a minute that website seems to be 'disabled' at the moment.
I'll post as soon as it's up.

I have repeatedly tried to download an Adobe Acrobat writer update but it always corrupts.
