515554 2007-01-18 09:23:00 Free NOD32 ftw. Been using it for awhile now. roddy_boy (4115)
515555 2007-01-19 19:32:00 I used Nod 32 for about 3 years on a 1 month trial (due to a faulty version on Net Guide CD - thanks guys) and it is the fastest scanner I have ever used, and also reputedly the best at detection. I've used AVG and Avast and they're probably as good as Norton or something like that, but Nod 32 is king of the hill. Used Trend Micro Internet Security for the last year as got a free copy but will be heading back to Nod 32 once PC World version eventually gets to me. Now where is that guys?? Twelvevolts (5457)
515556 2007-01-22 06:17:00 Damn. My sub doesn't come up until June. By then it will be something I don't want. This would be nice.. paulw (1826)
515557 2007-01-23 01:30:00 Nah, sorry but when I uninstalled Avast & installed NOD32 it froze my PC constantly!! I've reinstalled Avast.I have noticed that.

I thought it was just me. I would click and click on icons or programs and get no response. Then eventually my PC would come back to me.

I installed the latest NOD32 (this weekend) from the PC World offer. It looks like I will go back to AVAST as well. While it may be free it still does not hog the machine like NOD32 appears to do

515558 2007-01-23 01:50:00 Well I love NOD32. Never had any trouble at all. Or a virus either.;) JJJJJ (528)
515559 2007-01-23 01:56:00 D/L'ed the trial version of NOD32 yesterday, ran it and found a few trojans - that AVG and Avast missed. I'm totally impressed - now only to get the $$$$ together to subscribe!!!!!!!!!

515560 2007-01-25 03:43:00 My 3rd year with Nod 32, no problems and a really freindly help site, (should you need advice or have a question), Go for it. Pibs:D Pibs (1560)
515561 2007-01-25 06:06:00 Yee ha - my Nod32 code finally arrived today. Twelvevolts (5457)
515562 2007-01-26 00:21:00 Uninstalled my "Free by PC World" NO32 yesterday. Installed "Free " Avast and my PC is instantly faster.

Note: I run ProcessGuard to stop any unknown nasties running.

Because this is so obviously aberrant behaviour, you (and d_wong) probably need to have a look under the hood of your system rather than biff out out the victim and become one yourself. Just a thought.
