| 515425 | 2007-01-13 19:35:00 | Paid $1200 for my 8800GTS but boy is it worth it. Can play all games except FSX at full everything and really high res. Something I have never been able to to on my 6800Ultra. Quake4, Oblivion, Lara Croft, Hitman, and all the FPS games I have all go like the clappers now. Theres a catch though. I did this when I bought my horribly expensive X1900XTX. Theory was, buy the top end and it will last longer before you're back to turning settings down in games to get them to play halfway decent. But then you find how totally cool it is playing everything on max, and it would be just too hideous to go back to half settings.....so what do you do? Stuck on the $1000 graphics card upgrade treadmill.......:eek: |
