| 516299 | 2007-01-16 00:00:00 | Hi, I have a dell dimension 2400 with a cd drive but with no floppy disk drive. I want to format the whole computer, doing a clean installation and erasing all files and installing windows again. Does anyone know how I can do this because I don't have a floppy disk drive. | 516300 | 2007-01-16 01:44:00 | assuming it's windoze xp just stuff in the cd and start the puter......you may want to check in the bios first that the system is set to use the cd drive as first boot device.......the windoze cd will pop up a little message saygin 'press any key to boot from cd'........it has all the functionality you want to wipe and reinstall the system.........just be aware tho that you will also need motherboard/sound/video drivers...... | drcspy (146) | ||
