| 516302 | 2007-01-15 23:54:00 | I have a router reported 6400, my tested is 1.95Mbit. They sent a tech and they said nothing is wrong. :D For the disconnects could be the isp or/and the modem. If you are not using the supplied adsl cable use that and try. I take it the modem is disconnecting than the wireless/wired LAN card right? I think its the lines or Telecom. I have a good router/modem, I have a good ISP (not Xtra). I have used the same cable supplied and ran it via a filter but left the phone socket empty, I plugged the adsl cable in the filter via the adsl outlet. Had this when just one phone or no phone was plugged to wall. |

Then check this link forums.whirlpool.net.au My router reads 6640kbps yet I only get 4.6mbit day or night.. anytime. Even when the rate drops to 5500~kbps (rarely), the speed is still 4.6mbps Note that your downstream rate reported by your modem isnt the actual max speed u will download at. 15% of your reported rate is overhead. So subtract that for your theoretical speed. |

This is largely a function of the distance from the exchange. The lower the dB the better for this measurement. 20dB and below is outstanding 20dB-30dB is excellent 30dB-40dB is very good 40dB-50dB is good 50dB-60dB is poor and may experience connectivity issues 60dB or above is bad and will experience connectivity issues This is mine Line Attenuation 47 = Download 27 = Upload |
