2007-01-15 03:28:00 | Howdy Rather than continuing to hijack this thread pressf1.co.nz I thought I would start a new one. Due to less than optimal download speeds with Xtra's Go Large plan it was recommended that I use a download manager. Can people recommend some good FREE download managers that work with Firefox 2.0 (and not full of malware ;) ) Cheers Ravage

2007-01-15 04:26:00 | I personally like and use Flashget (and download the "Flashgot" extension for Firefox). Works brilliantly, and is free too. | somebody (208) | |

2007-01-15 05:33:00 | Truedownloader. It's a freebie albeit a very basic program at that. | bob_doe_nz (92) | |
2007-01-15 07:05:00 | Flashget with the flashgot extension. Works very well. | mikebartnz (21) | |
2007-01-15 08:04:00 | I use Leechget. It works well for me on my overnight downloads, resumes when necessary, and disconnects (dial-up) when finished. Also will turn off the computer when it is finished downloading. | rumpty (2863) | |
