2007-01-16 03:47:00 | New puter for Xmas but appear to be missing an OE funtion, namley the pane that appears after OE opens that tells you incoming mail info, (the one you get by clicking on the send/recieve button). It appears when using this button, but on my old dunger, it came up all by itself. Any ideas how to get it back? Have tried all the obvious but can't seem to find where to apply the change. OE 6, XP Home. RNY.

I'm afraid that I am showing a little ignorance here, tried your suggestion, following is showing ticked - Folder Bar, Status Bar, Toolbar and Views Bar. Unticked is - Contacts, Folder List and Outlook Bar. Which of these should I change? RNY |

2007-01-16 04:31:00 | Hi again, Still have not got it. To explain. I would like OE to bring up the mail incoming pane (I think thats what to call it) the one that shows when clicking on send/recieve once OE has opened. My old puter shows this automatically, my new one requres me to click on send/recieve before it will show. Tea time now, will check for replies later. RNY

2007-01-16 04:40:00 | Ah ok so I think u mean this option. Tools/accounts/mail tab your email login. Double click on it, and tick include this account when receiving email or synchronizing? Ticking this, it'll check email as soon as u run OE.

2007-01-16 04:42:00 | Are you saying your new machine doesn't send/receive automatically? If so, change the setting in: Tools - Options - General Tab. Under Send/Receive Messages tick the Check for new messages every x minutes box.
