| 516274 | 2007-01-15 21:54:00 | hi there i have just turned my toshiba satalite laptop on and it goes through the normal boot procedure, after the XP bootscreen the the screen goes blank and pops up a BSOD, saying: Stop: c0000135 (unable to load componement) Application couldn't start because basesrv was not found. Reinstalling the application maybe fix this problem. i have used the restore disk that was supplied with the laptop, but i still get this error. Any ideas why, and how to fix it./ |

| 516275 | 2007-01-15 22:13:00 | Was SP2 recently installed on this laptop?? And did SP2 fail to install if u tried to install SP2? You may have TV Media (support.microsoft.com) which is adware, and which needs to be removed before SP2 is installed You could also try this removal tool (support.microsoft.com) to see if TV Media is on your system. You could try the info here (www.anetforums.com) |

| 516277 | 2007-01-15 22:53:00 | I would still do a scan with that TV media removal tool. Boot into safe mode and see if it still crashes. If u can boot into safe mode, post a hiajckthis log. I would say its picked up some kind of spy/adware. Or if its got Spybot on it do a scan. |
