| 515799 | 2007-01-14 07:05:00 | As soon as WMM opens I get the "WMM has encountered a problem...etc". When I press "send report" or any of the buttons, the program closes. If I leave the box open and try to load a file into WMM it does nothing. I reinstalled WMM using "Software Repair Wizard" which came with my system. Also ran Defrag and Easy cleaner (registry). I saw a suggestion about reinstalling (SP2) and may try that. I have used WMM for sometime with very little problems . Maybe "hung" on me a couple of times. However when I started a new project and tried to load it up a few days later this issue arose. |

Yup, looks like u can't download it by itself. As stated here (www.microsoft.com) It's part of SP2. You can get it thru Windows update or order a cd. |

| 515806 | 2007-01-17 06:33:00 | Reinstalled SP2 from CD today. Problem remains. I did see a comment somewhere about NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 drivers (my system) causing issues???. Unfortunatley I didnt bookmark it. Looks like a system restore but how far back should I go? A month at a time since the I think the issue arose or one hit at 6 months. Do I just lose the installed stuff or will those files and installation files I have kept. I dont want to have to download a whole lot of stuff again. Thanks for all assistance |

| 515807 | 2007-01-17 06:44:00 | Try uninstalling and reinstalling the video card drivers, with the latest version of the drivers. Altho, I found the latest drivers crashed more often. Than previous versions And yup, depending on how far back u go with system restore (if u use it), it'll wipe out whatever you've installed, depending on how far u go back. |

Well first thank you to all who took the time to suggest possible solutions, esp LazyDog's link to "Crashes & hangs". At the bottom of the page was the answer: Remove IE7 Why hasnt MS got the solution on their site??? or have they?? |
