| 515792 | 2007-01-14 06:46:00 | I had an irate friend call who knows nothing about computers, he asked me round to help with his email problem. Every time he hits send/recieve for pop3 to xtra in Outlook it asks him for his password. He puts in the correct password and ticks the 'remember password' box. No joy, it keeps doing this and no mail comes down as a result. He is running XP Home, I didn't want to bum him out but he went and wasted money on Norton Protection center or whatever the hell it's called. I suspect that the email screening in Norton is messing with outlook. We downloaded the latest Outlook updates though and the problem still persists. |
