517317 2007-01-18 19:39:00 Welcome to PressF1!

Why do you need a driver? Are you trying to connect it to your PC or something?

517318 2007-01-18 19:44:00 Hi Jjakesquid,

Do you mean for the 360 HDDVD drive or something? Tried xbox-scene?

517319 2007-01-19 14:10:00 we are talking about an original x box. jjakesquid (11796)
517320 2007-01-19 14:25:00 it wont work without one jjakesquid (11796)
517321 2007-01-19 19:19:00 What won't work? You don't need drivers for the xbox to make the DVD drive work on the xbox.

I mod xboxs (got one in bits on the bench at the moment) and have never needed a driver for the DVD drive.
Do you perhaps mean the BIOS for the xecuter2 chip? Or dashboard?

517322 2007-01-19 21:04:00 Hehe, all chips that Ive used come *with* a BIOS...

And a dash is another thing all together. Torrents are the easiest way to find SlaYerS EvoX Auto-installer if thats what you're after.

Try and describe exactly what it is that you're trying to achieve in as many words as possible to us...

Did you peruse the xbox-scene site to see if it had what you were after?
See if you can answer CYaBro's post, he knows his stuff and will see you right :)

517323 2007-01-20 15:58:00 i,m told it,s a lack of driver poss due 2 a switch being knocked ...

linux has been mentioned .....

surely dvd must have/need a driver ?!?

Torrents ?

517324 2007-01-21 12:59:00 Sounds like a well-meaning friend has mentioned a few 'catch-phrases' to you that makes them sound like they're "in the know" without being able to back it up with solid advice.

Firstly:
Whats not working?

DVDs dont "need drivers". The Xbox / Windows / Linux supports the UDF & ISO9660 filesystem out-of-the-box so you dont need to do anything. Its not the sort of thing that can get corrupt either.

Torrent = No need to be fetching anything off them just yet, we have no idea what the problem is so why go looking for a solution?

Who mentioned those things to you? Did they say anything else?

My thoughts are you've knocked the switches for your BIOS banks and you simply need to set them all to the one position (Up or Down). This would follow on from you stating "poss due 2 a switch being knocked". I used to have an Xecutor2, nice little chips they are, but overkill for what most people would need...

People are trying to help you here, you are just making it hard for us to help you
***DESCRIBE THE FAULT & someone will be able to help you out
The DVD doesnt need a driver.

-perhaps the DVD is dead (it does happen)
-perhaps a fault with the chip install
-perhaps the DVD wont read the type of burnt disks you are trying to use
