| 516928 | 2007-01-17 20:58:00 | Good morning, I did a clean install of Win XP in this Machine and everything went fine as expected other than: At Windows XP Welcome Screen, if I don't log in to any of my 3 user accounts for about 3 minutes or so, a low pitch beep (much lower pitch than the usual boot up beep when turning on the computer) will sound even with speakers off. Never experienced this before. No new or unknown software was loaded, just those old familiar programmes and hardware drivers. Nothing new to this computer. Any idea what's happening? |

No. haven't tried to remove the side panel to trail the beep source. it must be from the little speaker - there isn't any other component that can make beeps, is there? |

| 516931 | 2007-01-17 21:59:00 | i believe your sound drivers will not be installed - if there are no drivers assigned to your sound card - windows will use that beep as a substitute - go into device manager and see if a yellow question mark is next to "multimedia audio controller" or something - if it does you have no drivers installed for it causing the beeping | MAC_H8ER (5897) | ||

It's playing all sound and music perfectly. |
